Rajasthan State constitutes 11% of the total land area of the country. Known as the land of Kings, Rajasthan has a royal history of its rulers and their wars. Rajasthan is a big state to administer. There are 33 districts in Rajasthan of which Jaisalmer District is the largest while Dholpur is the smallest district in terms of Area. According to Population, Jaipur district is most populated while Jaisalmer district is the least populated.
Each district has a Deputy Commissioner which hold three important posts at a time- The Deputy Commissioner, the District Magistrate and the Collector. Another important appointed official is Superintendent of Police which has the control of all police administration.
