Loading...The Winter Festival of Mount Abu is celebrated every year during the last week of December.
The festival celebrates the warmth and cheerfulness of the people of this quaint hill station, who welcome the tourist from the depth of their hearts.
This three-day colorful festival is organized by the Rajasthan Tourism and Municipal Board of Mt. Abu.
Tourists can have lots of fun at this festival because there are cricket matches that are to be seen.
Local folk dances like Ghoomar dance are also organized and people can also watch classical dance fusion with western dances and there are visual arts to be seen in this festival with participants include folk artists from Gujarat, Punjab, and Haryana, as well as Rajasthan itself.
The festival opens with a procession to Nakki Lake. Besides all these entertaining items and part of the festival people can have exclusive Rajasthan cuisine at the festival.
The festival is jointly organized by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation and the Municipal Board of Mount Abu.
Other entertainments such as kite-flying, hot air ballooning, cricket, Poetry reading, Gilli danda, and music performances are also held.
