History of Neemrana

Neemrana city got its name from a brave local chieftain Nimola Meo. Nimola Meo after got defeated by Chauhans, pleaded to name his lost kingdom. Neemrana was also the third capital of the descendants of Prithviraj Chauhan III who was killed in battle by Mohammad Ghori in 1192 AD.
